When the bombs fall
The tears of orphan children flood the debris
Anguish in their eyes echo and burn the souls of their dead parents
Their eyes burdened with sorrow purges bloodshed and conflict
And any hope that fills the world disintegrates with the rotting corpses



Regenesis – Book Drive

Regenesis - Book Drive

Regenesis: new birth, renewal. A book drive will be held at Scarborough Civic Centre on June 1 starting at 3:00 p.m., in memory of the burning of the Jaffna Library on the nights of May 31st and June 1st, 1981. All books will be donated to the SickKids Hospital.

This week on Talent Tuesday, we present Keerthana Nagaratnam. She is the young artist behind Waves of Colour and uses art as a medium to express important topics to youth. Keerthana has played an active role in the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance’s Thazhumbakam project. As part of the project, there have been a series of artwork viewings for its future establishment as a Tamil genocide memorial museum. We wish her the best on all her success!
