On behalf of the Human Rights Advocacy Council of the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance (CTYA), we endorse the Tamil Youth Organization’s Tamil Rights Week initiative. Such initiatives are important in educating others about the plight of the Tamil people. Currently, Tamils living in Sri-Lanka continue to face repression and much hardship. It is important that the international community be made aware of the current situation faced by Tamils. Furthermore, raising awareness about the situation can assist in development and finding a stable and promising solution for the Tamils in Sri-Lanka.
The Human Rights Advocacy Council of CTYA strives to educate youth about the ongoing plight of the Tamil people, as such, we endorse the Tamil Rights Week proposal by TYO. We hope everyone acknowledges the importance of this event and spreads the message across the globe to bring justice to the Tamil people.
