Talents in Motion – Top Talents Photography Contest

Top Talents Coordinating Committee is now accepting photographs of Tamil youth in the community showcasing their special talents. Whether this is a photograph of you playing soccer on the field, or a photograph of you taken during your arrangetram, Top Talents Coordinating Committee wants you to submit your pictures and take part in the challenge: ‘Talents in Motion’.

Thaalam funds to initiate youth recreation center

We are proud to announce that we are allocating $10, 000 from the Thaalam funds towards initiating the development of this youth recreation center.We thank all those who supported and attended the event.

Tamileelam Challenge Cup – Soccer 2011 Awards and Results

An exciting tournament which provided many thrilling games, came to an end the past Saturday. The Athletics Council of Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance in partnership with Canadian Tamil Sports Association (CTSA) hosted the 3rd Annual Tamileelam Challenge Cup. On a beautiful sunny day, many teams were vying for the prestigious cup and the chance to be champions.

Top Talents Nomination Submission Date Closed

The Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance (CTYA) is very excited for our 2nd annual Top Talents Awards Gala. The nomination deadline for the awards was on August 15th, 2011. With the submissions that we received, there is a great reflection on the large volume of talent that exists within the Tamil community. We thank all of the applicants for taking the time to fill out and submit your nomination packages. We are currently confirming that the application requirements are met and by August 26th, we will be contacting successful applicants.

Our young beautiful sisters: Sencholai Massacre

These young girls’ lives were unjustly stripped away from them, in a senseless attack aimed at undermining the progress of Tamil children. Despite being in a “humanitarian zone,” Sencholai Orphanage was attacked. According to the Fourth Geneva Convention of War, which outlines the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, civilians are not to be targeted.
