The Top Talents – Awards Gala is a night dedicated to appreciating the accomplishments of outstanding Tamil youth in the categories of Arts, Academics, Athletics, and Achievements. These categories are differentiated because we realize that youth are talented in diverse fields and that each field incorporates its own level of density.
Here’s where things get a little exciting. Because each category encompasses its very own unique feature, we’ve decided to come up with a special type of challenge just for you!
Top Talents Coordinating Committee is now accepting photographs of Tamil youth in the community showcasing their special talents. Whether this is a photograph of you playing soccer on the field, or a photograph of you taken during your arrangetram, Top Talents Coordinating Committee wants you to submit your pictures and take part in the challenge: ‘Talents in Motion’.
This competition is open to all Tamil youth between the ages of 13 and 30, and we encourage you to get your cameras out and start snapping away! We want YOU to submit your photos and are hoping that the photographs capture the density of your talent. These photo submissions will be uploaded on Facebook and will be open to be voted by audiences. What’s the prize you ask? Well, of course we couldn’t leave you empty handed! The talented individual showcased on the winning photograph will be rewarded with 2 complimentary tickets to the 2nd Annual Top Talents Awards Gala and Dinner!!
How could you possibly miss out on this opportunity!? Not only is there a chance for you to be recognized in your respective field, but you’ll also be competing for a chance to win tickets to an evening full of vibrant performances among talented individuals! The deadline for photography submissions will be by 6:00pm on Wednesday September 7th, 2011. Don’t miss out!!!
General Guidelines:
- The contest is open to all youth between the ages of 13 and 30.
- Applicants may only submit one photograph to the contest. Submissions must be original.
- Photos must be submitted as attachments to events@ctya.org with the individual’s name, age and contact information.
- All photos submitted to be part of the Photography Contest will be accepted no later than 6:00pm on Wednesday September 7th 2011.
- Photography is prohibited from containing any inappropriate language or image that may be discriminatory, harassing or offensive in nature. CTYA retains the right to disqualify any submissions believed to be inappropriate or offensive.
- The submitted photography entries will be subject to approval by Top Talents Coordinating Committee.
- The winning photograph may be used or displayed in CTYA’s publications, blog and other material.
- Upon submission of the Photograph entry to the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance (“CTYA”), the photographers(s) grant(s) full property rights of the Photograph over to the CTYA. For further clarification, the photographer acknowledges that CTYA has the right to reproduce the Photograph in whole or in part, and to display the Photograph to the public through any other digital forms, whether or not in combination with the works of others.
Specific Guidelines:
- All submissions must reflect a talent in the categories of Arts, Academics, Athletics, and Achievements.
- In the event that a submission contains materials that are not owned by the submitter, the applicant is responsible for obtaining consent from the third parties prior to submitting the entry.
- Winners will be determined through online voting that will take place on CTYA’s Fan Page on Facebook. The entry which receives the most “Likes” will be the winning entry.
