On behalf of CTYA’s Blog Team, we would like to extend our wishes to Ontario’s new Premier, Kathleen Wynne. Wynne has supported initiatives of the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance in the past; she attended Thaalam 2011 and has send out letters of support for Thaalam and Top Talents in the past. Congratulations!
Wynne addressed Tamil Youth delegates present after convention, she mentioned she was going to set up a Premier’s Youth Advisory Council, made up of Ontario Youth from a variety of backgrounds who would meet with the premier on a regular basis to discuss important youth issues.
Wynne was first elected to Queen’s Park in 2003, for Don Valley West. She has since served on various ministries. She is Ontario’s first female Premier.
We wish Wynne all the best in her role as Premier!
