Education and Empowerment Mission (TEEM)

“Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other.” – John F. Kennedy

The Education and Empowerment Mission (TEEM) of CTYA aims to bridge the gap by bringing experienced youth leaders to teach emerging leaders the skills and tools required to become a successful youth leader. This will provide our youth with the knowledge they need to take their organizations to a new level of efficiency and effectiveness.

Throughout history, youth have been at the forefront of creat¬ing change. Every new generation of youth has been responsible for creating a better world for the future. Youth organizations and its youth leaders have been a powerful force in bringing youth together to initiate this change. However, youth leaders are faced with many challenges; they are expected to quickly learn their role as a leader and achieve incredible feats with little experience and/or time. In order to better prepare youth to be leaders, and empower them with the knowledge of effective leadership, TEEM was created.

Build a strong team through TEEM workshops
Combining both skills and knowledge based workshops, TEEM offers our young leaders a holistic and interactive approach to developing useful leadership skills. Whether you are a part of a political organization, an athletic club, or arts & culture group, these workshops will help you navigate the Tamil community and the mainstream system.
Through these workshops, you will learn valuable skills and knowledge that will result in an increase in the capacity and qual¬ity of your organization’s contribution to the community and its members.
