The mission of the poetry slam is to promote the performers, create an avenue that will enhance audience participation, foster education, and inspire those with poetic talents with an avenue to engage in creativity.

The Council of Agencies Serving South Asians, CASSA, is launching a new two year project titled “Brown Canada” to document and celebrate the histories of various South Asian communities in Canada during the 20th century.
