Multicultural Week at York is one of the most anticipated series of events of the year. It is a chance for students, faculty and staff to celebrate their cultures and embrace the diversity of the York Community. York University Tamil Student’s Association will be participating.

“Shoulders of Giants”: Reading Series by UTSC TSA and TYO-Canada

This event will revolve around the central themes of NATION, HOMELAND, and SELF-DETERMINATION and will draw from Dr. Anton Balasingam’s novel, “War and Peace” in order to educate the UTSC community of the literature written by leaders of the armed struggle of the Tamil liberation movement.

Thulirkal: Making a difference everyday! Top Talents 2012 Youth Volunteer Award Recipient, Senthan Thirugnanasampanthan

Senthan Thirugnanasampanthan was the recipient of the Top Talents 2012 Youth Volunteer Award. The Youth Volunteer Award is given to an individual who has shown meaningful volunteerism to organizations and community groups while striving to improve the quality of life for others with a commitment to make a difference. This year’s Youth Volunteer award was awarded in memory of Namanan Guhanathan.
