Creative Culture: Better World
UforChange is an organization funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and is dedicated to the growth of a creative nation by promoting the experimentation of the arts culture and extending it to immigrants, newcomers, permanent residents and refugees.
The arts culture is an underrepresented part of society, especially to the newcomer youth demographic. The program is aimed at newcomer youth to create a solid foundation, develop their love for the arts, and pursue post-secondary education in the future.
This FREE six-month program is for youth between 16 and 29 years of age who are interested in the following workshops:
DJ/Beat Production
Fashion Design
Theatre/Improv
Photography
Film Production
Dance
During these workshops, participants will learn the fundamental techniques from experienced workshop leaders. When the 6 months come to a close, a Vivacity showcase takes place to display participant projects open to the public.
UforChange is currently accepting participants for their 6th cycle and classes commence October 29th 2012! If you are a youth newcomer who is passionate about the arts, UforChange is looking for you!
