A Personal Message from MP Shaun Chen
As the Member of Parliament for Scarborough North, I am pleased to extend my warmest greetings to the attendees of Thaalam 2017: The Ultimate Gaana Competition, organized by the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance (CTYA).
I commend the CTYA, a not-for-profit youth organization, on its commitment to empowering Tamil-Canadian youth to become outstanding leaders and contributors to society.
Today’s dance competition is a wonderful opportunity to share the amazing talents of CTYA’s members with the community, entertaining them with exceptional dance performances.
We are truly blessed to live in a nation that promotes multiculturalism and inclusion, and cultural gatherings such as this one are a reminder of how much stronger we are as a country because of our diversity.
