The Arts and Culture Council of Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance (CTYA) hosted an epic show, Thaalam: The Ultimate Gaana Dance Competition yesterday Saturday March 22nd, 2014 at Metro Toronto Convention Centre’s John Bassett Theatre. You can ask everyone who came – Thaalam 2014 was a mind-blowing show! It made everyone dance – even prominent political representatives Olivia Chow, Karen Stintz, Jagmeet Singh, Mark Adler, Neethan Shan, and Logan Kanapathi all busted a few Gaana moves. Raymond Cho and Bas Balkissoon also joined to watch the show.
Thanks to the board of directors, teams, volunteers, sponsors, media support, families, community members, politicians, judges and emcees who made this night possible!
This year’s champions were the Montreal Maniacs – who were well deserved of the honour.
