The Toronto Star has earned 14 nominations for the 2009 National Newspaper Awards. The awards will be handed out at a ceremony on May 14th in Toronto. One of the stories that is nominated was the picture that accompanied the story of 19-year-old Annu Indrakanthan who was beaten to death.
In news feature photography, Pawel Dwulit was nominated for the photo of a child wiping tears from a father’s eyes after his son was killed outside a convenience store.
