Film Arts Workshops – Orientation will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013.
The Film Arts Workshops will be organized by the Arts and Culture Council of CTYA to educate youth about film making through workshops facilitated by experienced artists from the film industry.
The Council will organize an orientation on July 14, 2013 to educate youth and parents about the program and also answer any questions they may have.
There will be 10 – 12 workshops during a 3 month period starting in July 2013.
The workshops will include the topics such as:
Cinematography
Post Production including Video Editing
Lighting Techniques
Film Direction
Screenplay / Script Writing
Acting Essentials
Challenges in Film Making
Mobile Film Making
The workshops will be conducted in an inclusive and practical manner. These workshops will be different from the formal lecture style classroom. Student engagement
and hands on training will be priority.
Students will have the opportunity form groups and create their own short films by the end of the workshop sessions.
