Let us not forget our Maaverar,
Who, for our freedom and nation, cast away,
Their desires and goals,
Their friends and families,
Their love and sorrow, and
Fighting for our rights, have sacrificed themselves.
Let us not forget our Maaverar.

Who, by the cruelty of war, have been denied,
A place of rest and peace,
For their friends to visit,
Their families to weep,
Thus, even in death, pursuing their fight for rights.
Let us not forget our Maaverar.
Remember, for by remembering, we honour.
