I know that when you see me
You think I’m weak and frail
But you fail to see what’s inside
And judge to no avail
It only takes a minute
To sit near by my side
And hear all that I’ve been through
The hurdles and great tides
In the short time I have been here
I lost the child I had within
So respect the tears and sorrow
I’ve just let the grieving begin
When you see my fear and pain
Dear nurse, please don’t be vain
Just take some time
And you will see
My weakness has a purpose
It just
Lies beneath the surface.
