What do you think, should we allow more international students into university (who pay 3 times the tuition fees) to help offset costs for domestic students?
These are domestic tuition fees for some programs:

I only compared undergraduate fees, but it gives you a sense of how different fees are. This doesn’t even take into account other rooming, food and basic costs. Personally, I think no. I mean, if you bring in these students, other Canadian students may not get a seat in Canadian universities. Also, these international students may not stay in Canada upon graduation, and may result in a less pool of workers. But, as a university student myself, I like the idea of having some of my costs subsidized. I don’t know though, I would much rather have Canadian students fill up all spots first, then open up anything remaining to other students. I think like 16,000 for tuition for undergraduate is such a rip-off, I mean, how many people can afford that? The richer people, and if only richer people get access to education, society will reproduce a hierarchy where the elite and rich stay rich.
