Aadukalam Press Release – Team Canada Places 2nd, Well-done!

Munich, Germany

Aadukalam, International Dance Competition was held on October 22, 2011 in Munich, Germany. Dance teams from all around the world participated.

Thaalam Inter-university college dance competition winners, York Huskies, represented Canada at Aadukalam. The dancers all showed great excitement in participating in an international-level competition. In anticipation of the competition, they practiced for many hours, and worked hard to represent Canada proudly. All the dancers showed great sportsmanship and encouraged a fair competition.

Through the dance theme of global peace, the teams all passionately showcased their love for peace. They demonstrated through their dances that it is important to have self-determination and dignity to maintain peace around the world.

Judges for the competition were Wallince King, Docas Huber and Nigetha Vijaaykumar. Team United Kingdom placed first followed by Team Canada placing second in the competition. Congratulations to both teams. Well-done Team Canada!
