To the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance
As Leader of Ontario’s NDP, I am very pleased to convey personal greetings and best wishes on the occasion of CTYA’s Top Talents Awards Gala and Dinner.
It takes an incredible amount of time and effort to organize an event of this stature.Organizers, volunteers and sponsors are to be congratulated for their initiative, their support and their hard work to make this evening a success.CTYA is not only showing leadership, you are cultivating leadership through events such as this. I am consistently impressed by the fine qualities exemplified in Tamil youth. I see young Tamils as keenly engaged in community activities, extremely bright and focused, polite and hardworking, well organized, studious and passionately involved in issues that concern and affect them.
Tonight’s focus will be on the talents and achievements of Tamil youth and there is no shortage of accomplishments and successes to celebrate.
To all the honourees, I commend you for the pride you bring to your community and the positive things you contribute to it. In showcasing the best and brightest youth from the Tamil community, you are also showing the face of tomorrow’s leaders, many of whom have already begun their rise.
While I am unable to join you in person for this special Gala event, I extend warm wishes to everyone in attendance and wish CTYA much success now and in the future.
