The story of my Life
She was stuck in the passages of time
With every step she could not help but be in doubt
She finds herself caught
Struggling to keep her head above the water
It seemed as though every force known to mankind was at work
Set and focused on this one being
Not making way
They were the source of prevention and deprivation
The barrier that will ultimately give way or stay
Which will then in turn decide her fate
See I have a little confession to make
That she is me
There are times where every bone in my body was screaming why?
WHY have I been stripped of my identity?
Degenerated by mainstream society
I am now a product of materialism and covert hypocrisy
A virus strenuous and caught like a fascist
It’s so hard for me to ignore the facts and get past this
There were instances…where I caught glimpses of people
…At the force that drives them
For one, it was the love that they had for mankind
For another, it was their disgust at the world’s present state
It all comes down to..
…The will to change
You have to be the change you want to see
Leave this world free of corruption
Please I’m begging you
Leave me with my sanity!
Why is it…
…That we’ve been taught to view the world as black and white
Right and wrong?
I was always in this tumultuous search to understand
All I’ve ever received were empty answers
But this much I do know
My very essence shapes and defines the lives of those around me
To what degree does yours?
What legacy will you leave behind?
Injustice is evident
My unfaltering vision has seen this
I speak from the heart to be heard
So my question to you now is, why?
Why shut my mouth now, when I was born screaming my heart out?
