UTSG TSA will hold Maaveerar Naal Ceremony Wednesday, November 21st 2012 at Vivian and David Campbell Conference Facility at The Munk School of Global Affairs From 6pm – 9pm.
The Tamil Student’s Association @ University of Toronto St. George Campus invites you to our Maveerar Naal 2012, which will be held on November 21st 2012 at the Munk School of Global Affairs in the Vivian and David Conference Facility (Trinity College) at 6:00 p.m.
With the arrival of November, many Tamils around the world unite in remembering a collective history. Maveerar Naal, or Tamil Remembrance Day, is a time to remember all those who fought and died in the Tamil struggle for self-determination. Countless lives have been lost, many of whom lie in unmarked graves and become unmarked pages in our history. We ask that you join us in remembering the lives of those Maveerars and the conflict that led to their struggle. We will be going through Tamil History and showing how we have come to this point in time through various medians of Art. Maveerar Naal is a day to reflect on and mourn a past that cost too many lives and affected countless others and we hope you will join us in sharing our remembrances.
