Last Friday, June 18th was the big day; it was when we held the FIRST EVER Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance’s Top Talents Awards Gala and Dinner. Top Talents was created to recognize and celebrate the achievements of Tamil youth aged 17-30. Its aim was to motivate youth to achieve greater success by recognizing and rewarding those youth who have contributed to society and are positive role models for their peers.
Congratulations to all the candidates and award winners! All of the recipients showed immense talent, and achieved so much, and even the candidates, for even applying to such an award means you’ve accomplished and achieved a lot, and so continue to do so!

I’m really proud of our community, and of all the people who have so generously contributed their time, energy and money into putting together such an event that will help build up the youth as leaders.
I really look forward to next year’s Top Talents awards and wonder who will be the ones to walk down CTYA red carpet of fame. So for all you Top Talents out there, continue working hard, and you may be CTYA’s Top Talent next year!
