As Member of Parliament for Scarborough Southwest, I am proud to support the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance and all participants at the 2012 Thaalam Inter-University/College Dance Competition. It is my pleasure to welcome all organizers, participants and spectators to Toronto for this fantastic event.
I also wish to extend sincere gratitude to the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance for their work on this and other events. As Vice President of the New Democrat Youth Caucus, and a long-time member of the Ontario New Democratic Youth, I can appreciate the hard work and dedication from all members your organization to make this event a success. The skills and experience I gained while working with other young activists and leaders have been an incredible asset to me throughout my entire working life, and especially now in the House of Commons.
I want to wish the best of luck to all teams competing at this year’s Thaalam Inter-University/College Dance Competition. I also want to extend my most heartfelt thanks to the Arts and Culture Council of the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance for organizing this competition.
