With summer approaching and weather forecasts predicting sudden thunderstorms, many are and continue to be confused about whether to expect heat or thunder. The same confusion is faced by NBA fans with regards to the NBA Finals.
The results of the game between Miami Heats and OKC Thunder on Tuesday, June 12 were forecasted by the fans of Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance (CTYA) on Facebook. As part of Thaalam 2012, CTYA Fans were encouraged to predict the winner of the game on the CTYA Fan Page. The names of those correctly predicting the results were to be entered into a draw to win a complimentary ticket to Thaalam 2012.
With the polls closing 10 minutes prior to the end of the game, 18 CTYA fans had correctly predicted OKC Thunder to be the winners of the game. Witnessed by the Thaalam 2012 Coordinating Committee, the names of all the 18 fans were entered into a draw and a name was drawn on Friday, June 15, 2012. Laxana Paskaran was selected in the draw as the winner of the complimentary ticket to Thaalam 2012.
