Today, June 6th, Team Tamileelam played their second game of the VIVA Cup Tournament in Erbil, Kurdistan against Team Zanzibar. Team Zanzibar is made of Pro-Football athletes, yet despite that, Team Tamileelam defensly guarded the net and put on a tough fight. Final score, Zanzibar 3. TamilEelam 0.
We finally have a team to call our own! Tamileelam made history through participating in VIVA World Cup 2012. Tamil soccer fans all around the world will be looking forward to Team Tamileelam’s next International Tournament! Through VIVA World Cup, it was evident that Tamils all across the globe have great pride in Tamileelam! With only one day of training as a team, our boys put on a great fight, and we look forward to many more tournaments with Team Tamileelam! 🙂
Team TamilEelam will face Occitania tomorrow at 20.30 AST for the 5th-8th place matches.
