Today, June 5th, Team Tamileelam played their first game of the VIVA Cup Tournament in Erbil, Kurdistan. Team Tamileelam will be competing tomorrow, June 6th, against Team Zanzibar.
Team Tamileelam leaves for stadium for their first match, against Raetia!
Thanks to the Canadian Tamil Sports Association for supporting our Tamil Canadian athletes and this tournament!

Fans all around the world were proudly supporting Team Tamileelam. About 30 fans also joined and cheered for Tamileelam with their flags! Participating in VIVA cup was a historic milestone for Tamileelam. Supporters were active on Facebook and Twitter, all sharing their excitement and enthusiasm. After a tough match, at the 85th minute, Raetia scored one goal. Final match results, Raetia-Tamileelam, 1-0. Team Tamileelam fought hard and put on a great match!
