The Tamileelam Football Association (TEFA) was established to promote the identity of the people of Tamileelam; to encourage football as a profession among the Tamil people; and to make football more accessible to the aspiring youth. TEFA was created by Global Tamil Youth League (T-League) in 2012. T-League’s vision is to reach, unite and empower Tamil youth to excel as leaders and architects of our nation..
TEFA is currently affiliated with The Nouvelle Fédération-Board (NF Board). The NF Board seeks to work with FIFA to be a temporary organisation for football teams before they acquire membership in FIFA.
Tamileelam entered a team for the first time at the VIVA World Cup 2012, which took place during June last year. Teams such as Northern Cyprus, Darfur, Kurdistan, Western Sahara, Raetia, Occitania, Provence and Zanzibar participated.
In July 2013, TEFA will be participating in the upcoming Tynwald Hill International Football Tournament. The tournament is being hosted by St Johns United on the Isle Of Man, United Kingdom. Tamileelam is also preparing to compete in the next VIVA World Cup in 2014.

தமிழீழ உதைப்பந்தாட்டக் கழகத்திற்கான விளையாட்டு வீரர்கள் தேர்வு
தமிழீழ உதைபந்தாட்டக் குழு, இவ்வாண்டிற்கான புதிய வீரர்களை தெரிவு செய்யவுள்ளது. தகுதியுள்ள வீரர்களிடமிருந்து விண்ணப்பங்கள் எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகின்றன.
சென்ற ஆண்டு NF Board என்னும் அமைப்பு நடாத்திய வீவா (VIVA) உலகக்கிண்ணத்திற்கான உதைபந்தாட்டப் போட்டியில் தமிழீழ உதைபந்தாட்ட அணி பங்குபற்றியதை பலர் அறிந்திருப்பீர்கள். தமிழீழ உதைப்பந்தாட்டக் கழகம் உலகளாவிய தமிழ் இளையோர் அவையினரால் உருவாக்கப்பட்ட ஒரு செயற்திட்டமாகும்.
இவ்வணியில் பங்குபற்றும் திறமையுள்ளவர்கள் தங்கள் விண்ணப்பங்களை sports@gtyl.org என்ற மின்னஞ்சல் முகவரிக்கு தொடர்பு கொண்டு பெற்றுக்கொள்ள முடியும். அத்தோடு TamileelamFA என்ற முகநூல் (facebook) பக்கத்திலும் தொடர்புகொண்டு பெறமுடியும்.
வரும் ஜூன் மாதம் பயிற்சிகளும், போட்டிகளும் நடைபெறவுள்ளதால் உங்கள் விண்ணப்பங்களை மிகவிரைவாக முன்வைக்குமாறு தமிழீழ உதைப்பந்தாட்டக் கழகத்தினர் கேட்டு கொள்கின்றனர். எதிர்வரும் ஜூன் மாதம் Isle of Man என்ற பிரித்தானியாவின் தீவுப் பகுதியொன்றில் பிரதான போட்டிகள் நடை பெற உள்ளன. இதன்பொழுது போட்டியாளர்களை உற்சாகப்படுத்த மக்களின் ஆதரவினையும் தமிழீழ உதைப்பந்தாட்டக் கழகத்தினர் எதிர்பார்க்கின்றனர்.
