In your mind, your goal is to find out if you’re the right fit for the job, not to win the job (salesmen) or to reject the job (arrogant). Being in this mind frame puts you in the same wavelength as your employer. Everytime I kindly turned down a job offer at the end of the interview because I felt i wasn’t the right match, i got a return call for a better position. |

Immigrants have come to Canada thinking it is the land of opportunity, but once coming here, many of them realize that their foreign credentials are not recognized in Canada. They are instead forced to take up low-paying, temporary jobs that do not meet their skills. Training is difficult, and restrictions are in place that makes it much harder for foreign credentials to be recognized. (or example placing quotas on the number of immigrants allowed in certain professions, like Canada takes one foreign neuroscience doctor a year, ONE.) |

This is very important, if you take the time to read over your resume and make sure it is error-free, it shows the employer that you are genuinely interested. THIS IS PROBABLY THE BIGGEST MISTAKE PEOPLE MAKE, AND DON’T BE ONE OF THEM! Read it over a few times, and get friends and family to look it over and catch mistakes you may have overlooked. |
