CASSA is starting a new project with the goal of engaging seniors and youths to plan community forums about their experiences while accessing services and how service providers can better cater to their needs. The initiative is also aimed at strengthening intergenerational relations between Tamil Youths and Seniors from Scarborough through collaborative work, knowledge sharing and promoting awareness of the social issues and marginalization that the community is facing. |

The next census will take place in May 2011. Starting May 2, 2011, all households in Canada will receive a yellow census package. The 2011 Census is staffing 35,000 jobs across Canada which include Supervisory and non-supervisory jobs in neighbourhoods and communities in all urban and rural areas of the country. |

The Toronto Tamil Basketball Association (TTBA) will be hosting Tamil Heritage Night in partnership with the Toronto Raptors on February 13th, 2011. The event held at the Air Canada Centre will feature a game against the Los Angeles Clippers, limited amount of people to watch player warm-up two hours before tipoff, question and answer session after the game and an exclusive halftime video of TTBA played on the jumbo screen. |
