The talents and skills of the youth in the art of dance and photography were evident through the submissions we received for the “Thaalam Photography Contest: Strike a Pose.” Seven unique submissions were made to the contest, all of which captured the artistic talents of youth and depicted their passions for dance and photography.
An overwhelming amount of support was received from the Facebook audience for all the submissions made to the contest. By 8pm on Tuesday, June 12th one photograph was in the lead with over 790 “likes.” The “Lotus Headstand” submitted by Dvij Patel received the most “likes” and was selected as the winning photograph of “Strike a Pose.”
Dvij Patel will receive two complimentary tickets to the much-anticipated Thaalam 2012 – Inter University/College Dance Competition. The Arts and Culture Council extends their appreciation to all the participants of the contest and would like to congratulate Dvij Patel. We wish all the photographers and dancers that took part in this contest the best of luck in the future.
