Stop It Mother!
day by day the sun just gets darker
truth disperses into the air
clouds, they hover thick and angry
watching as we desperatly run for cover
Mother Earth, we are your children
yes, we do have lives we can spare
but not the ones of those who are innocent
not the ones who who struggle and suffer
take the lives of those in power
the ones who point their guns at the children
demanding them to strip off their skins
the ones who sit on fancy chairs all day,
ordering the murder of entire ethnicities
full course meals of blood and bones
the poorest work while the rich instruct from a throne
why dont you crack the grounds of the Sri Lankan Government
why dont you send your waters over their palaces
You’ve left diamonds in Africa for the white man to claim
You’ve wiped out thousands of survivors with a single wave
destoryed haiti as though they had it easy or some shit
and who can i point a finger at and blame for it
but you.
distraught by the rot in our hearts that rippen to innocent deaths
we hear it on the news then rethink and regret
it takes death for us to unite
it takes buildings to collaspse to help build homes
while they cried we ignored
while they died we attempt to restore…
Im not rich but not poor
but the rich are rich because the poor are poor
robbing the needy for luxury unpure
broke into their houses, kicked them out their own doors
what have you left us, nothing, yet you want more…
sailing through the seas are the immigrants and refugees
leaving behind their loved ones and homes, and now alone
paid in hundreads thousands millions, just to get on that damn boat
so they rode, as the waves erode the sides of a boat so barley waterproof
but rain on them time and time again..above the seas, you’re drownin them
reach the shores, another countries doors..invited behind bars or entrance closed
And where are you now, mother by the name Earth
where are you when your children are being unheard
heartless unkind, so inhumane..why must you punish only those who never see gain
I pledge you my life, i work not for myself or my country but for the people to survive
a land for them to reside
but its these places you crush, or wash away with your tides
we work hard and fight just to stay alive,
against eachother
but you take away reasons to struggle nd live, glance by your feet mother
Look at the man with no back carrying his child on his shoulders
Look at the mother like you, but lays dead her children weep orphaned
Is there a purpose to all this? Justify
Dont point your finger at me Mother! Testify
You are turning into one of them, aren’t you?
Providing for the rich again, the rich aint just harming them..
enslaving them, raping them of pride n dignity, let alone money when..
They are the ones burning you, using you, they turn to you, then burden you
the hole in your atmosphere, your oil soon to be replaced by tears
your gems and stones that cost how many dollars…no wait!
it cost us more lives to find, then the numbers before the dollar signs
Go ahead mother, kill off your children… take me too why dont you?
beneath your rubble..
for what purpose have you left me? to witness trouble..
We want to lie in your arms, not die in your lap
so work with me mother, and watch your attacks
punishing the wrong children, will result in your death
We’ll save you mother, Just Have Our backs
