I am not a Barbie doll
A disproportionately sexualized mesh of plastic
To entertain your lonely Friday nights

To be picked off the shelf
When your curious eyes lust the unused
To be undressed on command
When your filthy fingers crave my naked curves
To be tossed away
When your twisted mind is no longer hungry

I am not a Barbie doll
A disproportionately sexualized mesh of plastic
To entertain your lonely Friday nights

I am a woman
Your nurturing mother
Your fearless sister
Provider of the unconditional
Carrier of your unborn child
Cultivator of the human race
Protector of the world

I am not a Barbie doll

– I am your equal
