On Monday February 7th, York University Tamil Student’s Association (YUTSA) held a conference as part of Tamil Rights Week titled, Memoirs of an Aspiring Nation. The conference included discussions, readings and a book release of contributions by YUTSA members. Members who contributed to the book release also recited some of th work submitted in an engaging manner. Through this initiative, YUTSA was able to raise awareness and engage participants in dialogue regarding the aspirations and recognition of Tamils and their rights.
