Lips no longer sealed, by Shayanika Suresh, is an attempt to give voices to the suppressed. This book features a number of writings that have been published in the Tamil Mirror newspaper, the CollidescopeZine blog of The Centre for Women and Trans People at the University of Toronto, as well as the CTYA blog.
The book release will take place as part of a fundraising event. This event will include a variety of performances as a means of raising awareness to the magnitude of violence and oppression and thus giving light to the book’s message of peace.

Education is one of the first casualties of war.

In areas where formal education is not available, War Child works to re-build schools, run ‘catch up’ education programs and provide training in basic life skills. – War Child Canada Education Programs Pamphlet
