If you thought find a job was competitive, try finding a bride in China. As most people know, China implemented a one-child policy many many years ago that allowed families to have one-one child. Many Chinese parents as a result choose to have a male to carry on the family name instead of a female, who they believed was a liability. However, this has resulted into 122 males for every 100 females in China. So, a fifth of Chinese men, will be unable to find a bride when they are ready to get hitched. Brides in China can be more selective and demandind because of they are being sought out, simple ecoomics, when supply goes down, and demand is up, the price increases. Whatare Chinese brides demanding? Increasing Savings. Apparently, more Chinese families with men save more than did families with a daughter, so long for the dowry system. Toliets. (there’s a lack of clean toliets in parts of China, so why not ask when you have the power to?).
