Her voice was not silent

Her voice was not silent… it pierced viciously through thick clouds..
it met with my ears in the darkest nights and brightest days..
it struck my heart and echoed through my mind..
miles away from her suffering and missery..i try to relate..
too late..her fate in their blood stained hands wont pass any gates..
i knew her end was near..as they teared at her skin and dug their nails to her flesh
innocent eyes met with her blood thirsty guest..the growl of his voice synchronized with her sobbing and tears..
her cries for help strained to be heard..
poor girl..she thought nobody knew..she thought they would care but just didnt hear..
they heard alright..the world knew her cries like a familiar song by now..
she’ll never know that they remained silent by choice..
as her tears drained from her eyes into the dirt..
as her voice drained from her throat into empty space..
as her blood drained from her body into the land..
i reach out my hand..wishing she’d somehow understand..
that we are scarred with her cries from miles away..
and if we could we’d be there by her side and stay..
make sure nobody dare touch another female that way..
and assure her they’d pay..the bystanders and the criminals..
they’d all pay one day.

I wish upon every star in the sky that every [man] that laid his hand on a female without her consent be punished with life long missery. And the Sri Lankan Government with its so called “disiplined” army raping and torturing Tamil women, OUR sisters thinking these untold stories wont emerge will soon face the consequences. The truth will ALWAYS hover above the world, it’s only a matter of time before it rains down on them. They will swim in their own blood bath and wonder why they cant find clean water to wash the blood stains. Im waiting on that day, a day i surely KNOW will come. Even with that nearing day, we should prepare to cry, only then we’d be shedding tears of joy.
