On behalf of Ontario’s New Democrats, it is my pleasure to extend greetings and congratulations to the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance (CTYA) and the guests and competitors at Thaalam 2017: The Ultimate Gaana Competition.
By promoting and celebrating your heritage and culture, Tamil community members and organizations like the CTYA set an example for all Ontarians, reminding us to embrace the many unique cultures that make Ontario such a great place to call home. The CTYA efforts at this event, and throughout the year, help to strengthen our province, while developing future community leaders and engaged citizens.
New Democrats are proud to work closely with the Tamil community on many important issues, and we are proud to recognize and honour the important contributions that people of Tamil heritage make to our province. Ontario is a better, more inclusive province because of your efforts.
We look forward to continuing to work with the CTYA and the Ontario Tamil community to build a more inclusive, welcoming Ontario, for many years to come. Our sincere thanks and congratulations go out to the organizers, volunteers, competitors and supporters who have worked so hard to make this event a success.
