Fun, excitement, and pride. Where do all three come together? Tamileelam Challenge Cup Soccer 2011. On August 20th, 2011 CTYA will be hosting its 3rd annual Tamileelam Challenge Cup – Soccer at L’Amoreaux Sports Complex in Scarborough. We are looking for excited volunteers to join our team on the day of to help ensure another successful Tournament.

Youth activism is when the youth voice is engaged in community for social change, and advocates for this change. As a nominee you should be passionate about a cause, or causes occurring in the world today that seek attention. You should consistently be bringing awareness to the cause through different positive and proactive approaches. Nominees should also be able to explain how you have used a positive, proactive and solution-based approach to address one of these issues/causes while making a positive contribution to the community. Youth activism does not stop in youth; you should be able to explain how you expect to continue your activism in the future.

Tamileelam Challenge Cup – Soccer (August 20, 2011)

Soccer has a strong presence in the Tamil community here in Canada. Over the many years Tamil soccer teams competed to be the best amongst our community. The Tamileelam Cup represents the height of the Tamil League since its launch in 2009. The desire and passion for the cup brings out the best Tamil players to this tournament. Since 2009 the tournament witnessed great games, lots of support for teams and numerous fans of the tournament.

The recipient will have motivated a group of people on a path to achieving goals by ensuring the understanding of the tasks needed to be completed, fair division of work, and satisfactory milestones in the work completed by his/her team. As well, the recipient will have portrayed the dedication necessary for the successful collaboration of individuals in a team and continuous encouragement to work towards their goals

Art comes in such various forms and can mean a variety of things for each and every artist. The Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance recognizes young artists who constantly strive in building our community through each of the following areas: Classical Dance, Classical Music, Urban Music, Marital Arts and Visual Arts.

Tamileelam Challenge Cup Results – Cricket 2011

Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance’s Athletic Committee (CTYA) successfully held its third annual Tamileelam Challenge Cup Cricket Tournament in partnership with Markham Toronto Cricket League. Semifinals games were between the Blazers C.C. and EelamBoyz C.C., and the Jaguars C.C. and Black Cats C.C.. The Blazers C.C. and Blackcats C.C. then progressed to the finals.
