Paving a path for women, the Women’s Ontario Tamil Sports League (WOTSL) has created a platform for females 16 years of age and over across the GTA to play collaborative sports. This multi-sport league, founded in October 2015, provides participants with a fun environment to play sports at a recreational level with some healthy competition. For the 2015-2016 season, the two chosen sports were volleyball and basketball. WOTSL is comprised of 88 members of various ages, ethnicities and athletic skill-sets. |

Life does not always play out according to plan. One way or another every individual is met with cross roads. Cross roads that will either throw you down the drain, or bring you to new heights in life. Such was the case for Arrun Durai, a Toronto based software engineer that had everything he ever needed from life. Which is quite hard to believe, considering the fact that he is an orphaned child, raised amongst other orphaned children. Like all men, Arrun too falls in love. Love is beautiful, although at times love is not always as beautiful as portrayed. Sometimes, love is what causes a mans downfall, and in Arruns case, it may have been his defeat. |

On Saturday August 29th, the Athletics Council of Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance in partnership with Canadian Tamil Sports Association (CTSA) hosted the 7th Annual Tamil Eelam Challenge Cup – Soccer 2015. The event was a great success as many teams came out to participate and therewas an overwhelming amount of support from fans. Everyone was really excited about the competition and all the teams were intensely enthusiastic about performing their best and showcasing their skills, dedication, and hard work in an effort to be crowned the next champions. |
