On December 5, 2010 the Canadian Tamil Youth Development Centre (CanTYD) hosted its 11th Annual Awards of Excellence gala. The night recognized exceptional Tamil-Canadian students who have achieved excellence in academics, athletics, the arts, and community service.
The evening featured a reception and showcased several dance and drama performances, as well as speeches by CanTYD’s Board of Directors, Program Coordinator, council leaders, and sponsors.
Ten exceptional Tamil-Canadian students were recognized for excellence in achievement. As of 2010, CanTYD has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships.
