Canada wins short-track silver, yay =)

Canada has its sixth medal of the Winter Olympics Games.

Marianne St-Gelais of Montreal captured a silver medal Wednesday night in the women’s 500 metre short-track event.

Gold-medal favourite Meng Wang of China came first, while Arianna Fontana of Italy got the bronze.

Jessica Gregg of Calgary came fourth, just missing the podium.

Kalyna Roberge was expected to make the final, having won a silver medal at the 2006 Winter Games in Turin. But she fell just short of the final.

Canada now has two gold, three silver and one bronze medal at the Vancouver/Whistler Winter Olympics.
