Can Sri-Lanka be the next Egypt? – Conference held by University of Toronto – St. George Campus

The Tamil Students’ Association at the University of Toronto – St. George Campus on Tuesday March 22nd hosted a discussion exploring the idea of social movements and the current pro-democracy revolutions occurring in Northern Africa and the Middle East and the potential for the same to happen in Sri Lanka. Amarnath Amarasingam who is currently a doctoral candidate in the Laurier-Waterloo PhD in Religious Studies and Rory Dickson, also a doctoral candidate in religious studies at Wilfrid Laurier University lead the discussions moderated by Ashwin Balamohan.
