Held in the tears, faught back the pain
the stabbing inside him, drove him insane
thick red veins creep straining his eye
but he still held back tears he wanted to cry
choked on his words, unable to speak
his misery and sorrow making him weak
lips are shut tight, his rigid jaw lines show
but he still stood up high, when he really felt low
A man cannot cry he says, broadening his shoulders
but the glimmer in his eyes tell me otherwise
his hands clenched into fists..and rammed into a wall
the walls got all dented
but not a tear would fall
he drank beer after beer, he finished it all
drunk on his own thoughts
but not a tear would fall
he grabbed for his car keys jammed them into the ignition with rage
drove above speed limits, releasing anger outta his cage
his eyes were so blury..everything just whizzed by so fast
his hands slipped off the wheel ..the car stopped with a clash
hit a mother and child when his car crashed..
he woke in the hospital..was told what he had caused
and tears fell at last.. tears fell at last..
every tear drop that now fell
held all of the misery and pain that he felt…
an innocent mother lost her child in her very own hands
all because he cried like a man
[ inspired by the the stereotypical veiw that men shouldnt cry, making them fearful of expressing themselves through tears…and turn their sadness and greif into an unhealthy form of anger and rage..]
