CTYA Top Talents Awards Gala taking place on September 18, 2011 will include the presentation of an outstanding leadership award to recognize an individual who has made a significant impact on Tamil youth by taking on a leadership role in the community.
The outstanding leadership award aims to empower an individual for their excellent contributions while serving as an inspiration for other Tamil youth. The recipient will have motivated a group of people on a path to achieving goals by ensuring the understanding of the tasks needed to be completed, fair division of work, and satisfactory milestones in the work completed by his/her team. As well, the recipient will have portrayed the dedication necessary for the successful collaboration of individuals in a team and continuous encouragement to work towards their goals.
The winner of the award will receive a $500 bursary at the Top Talents 2011 Awards Gala. Taking on leadership roles will help Tamil youth pave way for change in society and bring forth creative new ideas into the mainstream media.
The following requirements must be met by all applicants for the outstanding leadership award:
– Individual has shown both academic and non-academic success.
– All applicants will be required to submit an official copy of their Fall 2010 and Winter 2011 transcript.
– The individual serves as an inspiration and motivation for others through the demonstration of positive attitude and work ethics.
– He/ She must have the ability to support others.
– The individual is seen as a leader by the Canadian Tamil youth community.
– In a short summary, explain how your leadership characteristics have made a positive impact on Canadian Tamil youth.
The nomination deadline for Top Talents Awards 2011 is August 15th, 2011. If you or someone you know is an outstanding achiever, submit your nomination package as soon as possible.
