On behalf of the Parliament of Ontario, I would like to greet the participants in the Thaalam Dance Competition from across Ontario and Canada.
“Thaalam” is defined as a way to measure the tempo of music. As such, it helps to maintain the rhythm and mood of a song.
I take this opportunity to acknowledge the ongoing work of the Canadian Tamil Youth Alliance for all that you do to maintain the tempo and rhythm of Tamil cultural continuity within the Canadian mosaic, especially through such meaningful events that highlight your Community’s rich and vibrant heritage.
