Sometimes kids saying the most wise things, in such simple terms. We could learn alot from what children say, have you ever had an amazing realization or have been cheered up because of something simple a child said? These are a few, but encouraging and time appropriate comments children have made. Please feel free to share your experiences! When a mother was grieving over her mother’s death, her son said: “Mommy, nana isn’t gone! All you have to do is rub your heart, and there she is!”
A boy asked his mom why grown up don’t stop working so hard, and never have time to play. His exact words, “…cause when you play you don’t have to think hard or worry…you have fun.”
A little girl talking to her mom after her mom’s miscarriage, “… it’s okay mommy, don’t be sad. The baby wasn’t ready, and will come back when it’s ready. It wasn’t time right now. I’m sad, but it’s not like it’s the end of the world or anything.”
A little boy talking to his mom: Boy: Remember when I was in your belly, and I didn’t know what you were going to look like? Mom: Yes, I didn’t know what you looked like either. Boy: Well, of course I recognized your voice. I just couldn’t see you yet, but I already knew you from before. I chose you, you know.
A little girl advising her mother: “Well, mommy, I think you should get a job so that you can get a bank card like grandma, and go to the bank, and take out some money, and buy a doll, so grandma doesn’t have to keep doing everything.”
A little boy talking to his mom: “I remember when I was with God and told him how much I loved you, and wanted to be with you. So God said, yes she will be your mother, and so I came to you.”
A little girl comforting her mom after her miscarriage: Dad: Honey, mom needs to have a serious conversation with you. It concerns the new baby. She won’t be pregnant after today. Girl: Ah, no fair for you mommy. Hey, tell you what, the next baby you and I will make to together. And we will put tape all over it.” Dad: What for honey? Girl: This way, the baby will stick to mommy’s stomach.
